Featured Artist's in November

For November at Gallery 9, we are featuring Jim Fagiolo's luminous photography and Sharon Shenar's exquisite jewelry.

Sharon is featuring “Colors of the Autumn”. The warm and rich colors that abound in nature are translated into brilliant Citrine, lush Zarape Azul, mysterious Labradorite, Boulder Opal, Turquoise, Ocean Jasper and Ruby.

Sharon’s work has matured over the last 40+ years, into a more sophisticated and feminine style, all clasps are either sterling silver, or Vermeil (gold over sterling silver); some are set with matching gemstones. Sharon’s designs are one of a kind, she will occasionally make a similar piece, varying the design and using different gemstones. She enjoys creating special jewelry for weddings, proms, and anniversaries; as well as commissioned designs such as the ones she did for a local Red Hat Club’s catalogue.

“My desire is to create a line of unique jewelry for the discerning woman that is both delicate and elegant, while maintaining a feeling that is ultimately feminine; each piece is a compilation of fine gemstones and crystals. Finding precious gemstones beautifully cut and faceted to incorporate into a new design is a special delight. Swarovski crystals are an integral component of each piece that she designs; she uses it as a signature but it’s really to please the Faeries.”
Sharon is a founding member of Gallery 9 in Port Townsend, Washington.
